2025 Commencement Speaker

Carrie Burr, ob体育试玩 Class of 1986, has been a steadfast leader, advocate, and champion of the University’s mission for more than a decade. She joined the Board of Trustees in 2014 and, since 2022, has served as Chair of the Board—the second alumna to hold this role. Following tradition, Carrie will deliver remarks at Bay Path’s 2025 Commencement as her term as Board Chair concludes in June 2025.

Throughout her service to Bay Path, Carrie has focused on expanding student opportunity and access. She and her husband, Tim, are lifetime members of the Millennium Society and have been generous supporters of Bay Path through the Annual Fund and the BOLD Women’s Scholarship. Their philanthropy has also extended to the University’s Academic Learners & Leaders Initiative (ALLI), a program that helps high school students transition to college. Carrie has served as an honorary chair of the Presidential Gala and was a valued member of the Presidential Inauguration Committee.

Carrie’s professional background includes leadership roles in business sales, marketing, and nonprofit organizations. She has held executive positions at Forrester Research, Affinity Partners, and NCR, where she specialized in identifying and securing business growth opportunities. Her strategic mindset and commitment to mission have shaped her contributions to numerous nonprofit boards, where she played a vital role in building partnerships and guiding institutional strategy.

Carrie earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Bryant University in addition to her Bay Path associate’s degree. Her longstanding commitment to education and service is reflected in her extensive volunteer work. She has supported Boston University as a member of the William Fairfield Warren Society and Coach’s Cabinet. She was a founding trustee of the Wazi CHAMPS Foundation at Camp Waziyatah in Waterford, Maine, and served for nearly a decade at The Chestnut Hill School in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, where she chaired the Advancement Committee and co-chaired key fundraising and community events. At Trinity Episcopal Church in Newton, Massachusetts, she has served in numerous leadership roles, including Co-Chair of the Sunday School Program, Co-Chair of the Stewardship Drive, Warden, and Vestry Secretary.  In 2025, Carrie will continue her board service as she joins the Board of Trustees at the Landing School of Boat Building and Design.
