2025 Honorary Degree Recipient

Roberta Bolduc

Roberta Bolduc has been a dedicated leader and cherished friend of ob体育试玩 for nearly three decades. Originally from Western Massachusetts, Roberta is a proud graduate of Marymount College in Kansas, a Catholic women’s college, where she majored in speech and drama. Her deep connection to Bay Path’s mission of empowering women through education is rooted in her own college experience.

Roberta began her professional journey as a high school English teacher before transitioning to full-time motherhood and launching an inspirational career in volunteerism. Through her work with the Springfield Junior League, she developed essential skills in nonprofit leadership, administration, and governance—skills she carried with her to numerous organizations throughout the region.

She was a founding board member of the Ronald McDonald House in Springfield, serving as board president and contributing in leadership roles for more than 20 years. Her commitment to health and the arts also led to board service at the Baystate Health Foundation and Stage West Theatre.

Roberta joined Bay Path’s Advisory Council in 1996 and later became a member of the Board of Trustees, where she served on numerous committees. From 2010 to 2013, she led as Chair of the Board, and to this day remains an active and committed Trustee Emerita. During her tenure as Chair, she played a central role in the development of the Philip H. Ryan Health Science Center—spearheading land acquisition, fundraising efforts, and advocating passionately for the project that was transformational for Bay Path. The Center Hall Atrium now bears the Bolduc family name in recognition of their extraordinary generosity and support.

Roberta’s leadership was also driven by a deep desire to understand and support the student experience—so much so that she even attended classes to gain firsthand insight into academic life at Bay Path. Her unwavering belief in women’s education, career preparation, and leadership development has made a lasting impact on generations of learners.

With her husband, Bob, Roberta established the Pride Stations and Stores Scholarship and the Bolduc Family Endowed Scholarship at Bay Path. In 2021, they expanded their legacy of support with the creation of the Bolduc Family STEM Scholarship Fund, benefiting undergraduate and graduate students in science-related fields, including those pursuing Physician Assistant studies.

The Bolducs have also been major supporters of the Center for Human Development (CHD), especially MaryAnne’s Kids, a program close to their hearts that provides enriching experiences for foster children. Further extending their philanthropic reach, Roberta and Bob founded the Hope for Youth and Families Foundation through the Bolduc-Schuster Foundation, reinforcing their lifelong commitment to uplifting their community.

Beyond Bay Path, Roberta is a national figure in women’s golf. What began as a family pastime on an Air Force base in Kansas evolved into a lifelong passion. She served as Chair of the United States Golf Association (USGA) Women’s Committee and officiated as a rules official at more than 50 major tournaments, as well as playing and officiating across five continents.

Whether in the classroom or on the board, Roberta Bolduc exemplifies purpose-driven leadership, community service, and a heartfelt commitment to empowering others.
